There is a pick up only "Hut" of a place and the building has not been well maintained. But the 'que is tasty. We had a dinner of sliced beef with double beans as they ran out of Potato salad before 12:30. (They open at 10:30). Beans had smoke but no meat of any type so just a little better than canned. Beef was lean but they do put sauce over it without asking if that was your preference (it is not). The ribs were fall off the bone but a bit on the fatty side. For some fat is flavor so that may have helped. The sausage was not gristly nor so fine as to not have texture. It was clearly smoked with a crisp casing. They have a sign that says "If you cannot wait, Do not order" and this is the case because if you are there at lunch it will take 35 minutes between walking up, standing in line and getting your food.

This place has quite a cult following:) It is indeed a little shack and you could easily drive right by it and not notice it. But it is well worth the visit. We've always gotten the brisket when we've been. Superb! Be advised, they do close down when they sell out so if it's later in the afternoon when you're thinking of going, you might call ahead. A few times when we've been, we got the last of the brisket and the folks behind us had to order other things instead.FYI - I guess you could find some place to sit and eat outside if you wanted to but it is really a take out place. Grab and go. And enjoy!

We heard about this place a while back and were having a big crowd over for Labor Day Weekend and decided to give it a try. This place is ALL BBQ. Nothing fancy at all. Friendly service but somewhat on the slow side. Some people waited in line for 15 or 20 minutes before even getting to order, but the food is worth the wait. We picked up some sausage and chopped beef and they threw in a loaf of bread and two containers of BBQ sauce, one Hot and one Mild, but you really didn't need the sauce because the meat was so tender and delicious.

The nature of this kind of food necessitates low and slow cooking. The person who makes it gives of their time, arguably our most valuable commodity. And beyond giving of his time to cook, he still has enough to come out, talk to the regulars, hand out sandwiches and money to the homeless (also regulars), and hand off whole briskets for nearby folks

Didn't like the ride, annoyed staff. First and last visit. Just how does such a run down restaurant maintain up to date health codes?
